No separate conference publication fee

The post-conference Special Issue pathway is offered as part of ECMIESIA 2027. Eligible conference papers selected for journal consideration do not incur an additional publication charge from the conference organisers.

Selection for a Special Issue does not guarantee publication. Each full manuscript must satisfy the journal's scope, formatting, research-ethics and quality requirements and successfully complete the journal's independent peer-review and editorial process.

Publication Process

How the Special Issue pathway works

STEP 1

Present at ECMIESIA 2027

Present your accepted research as an oral or poster presentation during the conference.

STEP 2

Paper recommendation

Suitable contributions may be recommended for the appropriate partner-journal Special Issue after the conference.

STEP 3

Full manuscript submission

Authors prepare and submit the full manuscript according to the selected journal's instructions and scope.

STEP 4

Peer review & decision

The journal independently handles peer review, revisions and the final editorial publication decision.

Publication requirements

  • The manuscript must be relevant to the scope of the selected journal and Special Issue.
  • The work should be original, scientifically sound and prepared according to the journal's author guidelines.
  • Authors must comply with research ethics, authorship, copyright and disclosure requirements.
  • The journal may request revisions before a final decision is made.
  • Acceptance for presentation at ECMIESIA 2027 does not automatically guarantee journal publication.

No extra conference publication fee

Authors selected for the ECMIESIA 2027 Special Issue pathway are not charged a separate publication fee by the conference organisers. The publication opportunity is linked to the conference and is handled after the event.

Important: Journal publication is governed by the relevant publisher and journal editorial office. Any journal-specific policies or requirements remain subject to the journal's own terms.
