ECTMBICS 2027 welcomes original abstracts from researchers, clinicians, academics, postgraduate researchers, healthcare professionals, biotechnology and pharmaceutical specialists, and industry contributors. Submissions may be considered for oral presentation, poster presentation, Young Researchers Forum, or an approved workshop/special-session format. Abstracts should clearly describe the background, objective, methods or approach, key findings or expected contribution, and relevance to translational medicine, biotechnology, clinical research, digital health, precision medicine, pharmaceutical innovation, regulatory science, or healthcare implementation.

Tip: Use a clear title and concise abstract. Where applicable, include background, objective, methods, results or key findings, conclusion, and the clinical, scientific, translational, or practical significance of the work.

Abstract review criteria

Relevance to the scientific themes and scope of ECTMBICS 2027.
Scientific, clinical, translational, methodological, or practical value.
Clarity of the research question, objective, approach, findings, and conclusion where applicable.
Suitability for oral, poster, Young Researchers Forum, or other available programme formats.
Originality, responsible research reporting, ethical compliance, and a non-promotional scientific approach.

Recommended abstract structure

1) Background & objective

Briefly introduce the scientific or clinical problem and state the main objective or research question.

2) Methods / approach & findings

Summarise the methods, study design, analytical approach, intervention, case framework, or implementation method and report the main findings where available.

3) Conclusion & significance

State the key conclusion and explain the scientific, clinical, translational, technological, policy, or healthcare relevance of the work.

What happens next?

The scientific programme team reviews relevance, clarity, quality, and presentation suitability.
We may request clarification, corrections, or a revised abstract where necessary.
Accepted work may be assigned to oral, poster, Young Researchers Forum, or another suitable programme format.
Accepted presenters receive registration, presentation, and programme instructions by email.
